Request a confidential valuation

All information is kept strictly confidential

Not a rule of thumb, and not the number a competitor supposedly got.

  • A confidential business valuation, at no cost
  • A read on the buyer landscape for your business
  • A considered view on timing and structure

Would you rather write to a person? Email exits@wraithbrokerage.com.

There is no charge for the valuation or for the conversation that follows it. On a sale, we are paid a success fee at closing.

How it works

What you are actually signing up for.

Four steps, and none of them is a sales sequence.

01

You hear from us directly.

Not a scheduler and not an assistant. The people who would run your process are the people who get in touch.

02

One conversation.

How the business runs, what you are weighing, and what you would want out of a sale. Ranges are fine at this stage; nothing needs to be prepared for it.

03

We ask for a few documents.

Usually recent financials, enough to see the real earnings rather than guess at them. This is the step that separates a considered valuation from a rule of thumb.

04

We share the analysis.

What the business would likely be worth to a buyer, how we got there, who those buyers would be, and what a sale would involve if you ever wanted one.

If the timing is wrong for a sale, we will tell you that plainly rather than talk you into a process. A valuation you sit on for three years is still a valuation worth having.

A valuation is not a listing.

Nothing here puts your business on the market. No buyer is contacted, nothing is advertised or entered into a database, and the analysis goes to you. Whether it ever becomes a sale is a separate decision, and it stays yours.

Confidentiality does real work later, once a sale is actually running and buyers are involved. That is where the process is built to protect you.

How a confidential sale actually works

Who this is for

Owner-operated companies in the lower middle market. We work in service and recurring-revenue businesses: property management, HVAC and mechanical, facilities, janitorial, landscaping, security, pest control, pool and spa, and software. We look at others.

We generally look for companies between $1M and $25M in enterprise value, with $500K or more in EBITDA. If you are near that, or not sure where you land, ask anyway. Working that out is part of what the valuation is for.

Target criteria for the engagements we take on, not a record of closed deals.

Who you would be talking to

Sell-side only. We represent owners and never buyers, so there is no second client whose interests sit across the table from yours. Founder-led, which means you work directly with the principals who would run your process rather than a layer of intermediaries.

If that is your business, the next step is a number.

Selected transaction

A representative engagement.

We name clients only with their permission and do not publish figures we cannot substantiate.

Wraith Brokerage acted as exclusive sell-side advisor

I have only ever been a business founder and builder and this was my first business transaction. I was wildly outside my comfort zone. The Wraith team not only made everything simple, clear and straightforward while educating me on the process and each next step, but they also were constantly available on strategic questions to help us achieve the best results possible.

Common questions

What owners ask before they get in touch.

Does asking for a valuation commit me to anything?
No. It is a private conversation and a number. Owners often ask years before they act, and some never sell at all.
What does it cost?
Nothing. There is no charge for the valuation or for the conversation that follows it.
Do I have to send you my financials?
For the first conversation, no. Ranges are fine. To put a considered number on the business we do ask for a few documents, usually recent financials, because the alternative is a rule of thumb rather than a valuation.
Does this put my business on the market?
No. A valuation is analysis, not a listing. No buyer is contacted and nothing is advertised. Going to market is a separate decision, and it stays yours.
What if I am years away from selling?
That is the most useful time to know the number. Knowing where you stand early is what leaves you room to fix the things that move it.
Is this a certified appraisal?
No, and it is worth being clear about that. This is a market valuation of what a buyer would likely pay, which is the figure that matters for a sale decision. It is not a certified appraisal for tax, litigation, or estate filing purposes.
